Born in New York State and raised in Omaha, Matthew graduated magna cum laude from the University of Nebraska Omaha with a B.A. in History and a minor in Criminal Justice. He earned his J.D. from Creighton University, graduating magna cum laude and 4th in his class. His article on Copyright Law was published in the 51st volume of the Creighton Law Review. He also earned seven CALI awards for the top grade in a law school class.
Matthew’s practice focuses on business and real estate transactions, estate planning, and probate. Matthew prides himself on his responsiveness, approachability, and ability to develop creative solutions to meet each client’s specific needs.
Matthew is passionate about pro bono work. He volunteers with free legal clinics, the Volunteer Lawyers Project, Free Legal Answers Program, and the Douglas County Tenant Assistance Project.
Matthew is a frequent guest on local radio, discussing American history, politics, and legal matters affecting Nebraskans. He and his wife, Jenifer, enjoy traveling, playing competitive trivia, exploring Omaha’s exciting restaurant scene, and following Yankees baseball. They spend their free time with Harry, a five-year-old Malti-Poo; Louis, a rescued two-year-old stray cat; and Betty, a one-year-old Nebraska Humane Society adopted-stray cat. They also foster through a local cat rescue.
